NORTH WILDWOOD – A Pennsylvania man was arrested for allegedly strangling a woman in a road rage incident that occurred Aug. 20.
Christopher Krier, 49, of Jamison, PA was tailgating the vehicle in front of him in the area of 13th and New Jersey avenues, according to a North Wildwood police release. The victim rolled her window down and comment on Krier’s driving in light of children in the area.
The two vehicles pulled over and Krier and the victim climbed out of their vehicles. Krier approached and attempted to strangle her. A bystander allegedly stepped in prompting Krier to flee the scene.
He was gone before police arrived.
After a thorough investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest. He turned himself in several days later and has been charged with second-degree aggravated assault.
Upon turning himself in, Krier was transported to the Cape May County Correctional Facility.
Any charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
