ERMA — New Jersey Mother’s Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) honored Lower Township Police Officer, Jennifer Anzelone at their Annual Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, June 17.
Anzelone, accompanied by Lower Township Police Chief, Edward Donohue, traveled to South Brunswick to accept the award.
According to M.A.D.D., Anzelone had the most DWI arrests of any municipal police officer in Cape May County during 2008 when she arrested a total of 19 drunk drivers.
The event honored municipal police officers from all 21 counties in New Jersey along with New Jersey State Troopers and campus police officers.
Colonel Rick Fuentes, of the New Jersey State Police, honored the officers along with Mindy Lazar, State Executive Director of M.A.D.D. New Jersey.
“I am extremely proud of Officer Anzelone’s professional work ethic and her efforts to keep our community safe, said Donohue. “I know she truly cares for the welfare of our citizens, having two small children of her own.”
