Lower Township Police Issue DUI Advisory Prior to Holiday Weekend

By Press Release

LOWER TOWNSHIP – The Lower Township Police Department has made over 20 driving under the influence (DUI) arrests, since Aug. 1.
According to a release, the arrests involved both drug and/or alcohol-impaired drivers, including motor vehicle accidents with injuries. The Department wants to remind the community that they are on the lookout for impaired drivers, and that citizens can do their part too.
The department urges citizens to report erratic driving to the police immediately, as citizen tips helped in multiple recent impaired driving incidents.
Additionally, the department urges the public to decide on either using an available ride service or have a designated driver.
Also, certain over the counter and prescription medications can cause impaired driving.
