ERMA — Lower Township police answered 353 calls for service over the weekend Aug. 8-9.
Calls included 10 motor vehicle accidents including a boat being towed by an SUV that hit a utility pole and caused a portion of Route 9 to be closed for several hours creating a traffic jam.
Other calls included: four domestic violence incidents including one aggravated assault, seven disorderly persons complaints, six theft, five criminal mischief cases including a Lower Township police traffic jeep spray painted with graffiti, 22 emergency medical calls, seven local ordinance complaints and six fire alarm calls. Officers conducted 58 motor vehicle stops and arrested tow person for DWI.
