Lower Police Arrest Three in North Cape May on Drug Charges

NORTH CAPE MAY– Lower Township police executed a search warrant at a residence in the first block of Beachhurst Drive here Wednesday Nov. 11 about 5:15 p.m. and arrested three persons on drug charges.
The arrests followed a lengthy investigation by Lower Township Detective and Patrol Division into the possible distribution of illegal prescription drugs.
The Cape May County SWAT Team entered the home with a court-authorized search warrant and after securing the residence and occupants located within, turned the scene over to Lower Township detectives and police officers, who searched the residence. Police recovered approximately 75 Percocet, Oxycotin and Suboxin prescription pills.
Police also seized marijuana and various drug paraphernalia. All occupants of the residence were arrested and transported to the police department for processing.
Matthew R. Monroe, 23, Brian Monroe, 20 and Darren K. Panczner, 21, were arrested and charged with possession of prescription legend drugs, possession with intent to distribute prescription legend drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Judge David DeWeese set bail at $25,000 full cash for Matthew Monroe and $25,000- 10 percent for Brian Monroe and Panczner. All three were transported to county jail in lieu of bail.
An additional subject, indentified as Ronald Cox III, was located in the residence during the investigation and found to be in possession of Suboxin and was arrested for possession of prescription drugs and released on a summons.
