Lewdness Charge Filed Against 18-year-old Alleged Peeping Tom

VILLAS — On Aug. 6 at 12:30 a.m., Lower Township police received a report that a man was peering into a house in the 100 block of Cedardale Avenue.
Police investigated the incident, which also consisted of flashing and other lewd acts by the subject, which took place in the south end of this community.
They located18-year-old Douglas Haferl through a clothing description given by a victim.
That victim positively identified Haferl as the subject who allegedly committed the lewd act in front of her residence while looking into her window.
Haferl was arrested and transported to Lower Township Police Department for processing.
Haferl was charged with peering into dwelling places, a fourth-degree crime, and lewdness, a disorderly persons offense.
Patrolman William McPherson, Patrolman Shaun Whittington, Patrolman Chad Fitzmaurice, Sgt. Martin Biersbach and Detecetive Edward Dougherty investigated the case.
