Juvenile Arrested for Maintaining a Drug Facility in Goshen

GOSHEN– On August 17, 2009 the Middle Township Police Department Major Crimes Unit, Street Crimes Unit and the Cape May County Prosecutors Office executed a court authorized narcotics search warrant in the Goshen section of Middle Township. The investigation involved an outside cultivation of marijuana plants in a rural wooded area. Middle Township Police located the plants through investigation and placed the area under surveillance by Cape May County Regional SWAT Team operators. One individual, a (17) year old juvenile was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Maintaining a Drug Facility after arriving in the wooded area to care for the plants. Multiple marijuana plants were seized in various stages of growth.
The juvenile was processed at police headquarters and released to his parents.
