COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 14 indictments May 9. The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance. The crime of “certain person” below stands for “certain person” not to have a weapon.
Individuals convicted of a felony are not allowed to carry a weapon at any time. “Certain person” charges are either in the second or fourth degree depending on the weapon. If the weapon is a gun, the charge will be second degree.
Brian Donnelly
On April 6 a car driven by Brian Donnelly, 19, of North Wildwood, veered off the road at high speed and struck a utility pole and eventually a house on Route 47 in Green Creek. When police responded they found a large amount of marijuana in the vehicle. Donnelly was indicted for possession of a CDS, fourth degree, and possession of a CDS with intent to distribute, third degree.
Ronray Harris
At 3:40 a.m. Feb. 23, police responded to a report of a stabbing at the New Jersey Transit Bus Station in Wildwood. The investigation led to the subsequent arrest of Ronray Harris, 39, of Bridgeton.
Harris was indicted for armed robbery, first degree, and aggravated assault, second degree. Harris also faces weapons counts for possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, third degree, and unlawful possession of a weapon, fourth degree.
Since Harris was convicted of possession of a CDS in 2012, a count was added to the indictment for certain person, fourth degree.
Stephano Anderson Jr.
Stephano Anderson, 22, of Fishing Creek, was indicted for operating a motor vehicle on second license suspension. Anderson had been arrested for driving while intoxicated by State Police in 2015.
Dominic Digilio
Dominic Digilio, 46, of Wildwood, was indicted for second-degree aggravated assault. The alleged incident occurred in West Wildwood in February.
Sommer Iovacchini
Sommer Iovacchini, 39, of North Wildwood, was indicted for possession of a CDS, cocaine, third-degree.
Michael Urban
Michael Urban was indicted for aggravated assault on a male victim in Lower Township on March 5. The count was in the third degree.
Stanley J. Matthews
Stanley J. Matthews, 44, of Villas, was indicted for third-degree bail jumping. In 1991, Matthews was convicted of sexual assault. That conviction requires that he register as a sex offender with local law enforcement. He had been indicted for failure to re-register and released until his hearing. On May 2, Matthews failed to appear for the hearing leading to the new indictment.
William Medina
William Medina, 46, of Wildwood, was indicted for certain person, fourth degree. In 2012, Medina was convicted for possession of a CDS. On April 17, in Wildwood, he was allegedly in possession of a knife.
Henry Voncolin
Henry Voncolin was arrested in Avalon on March 22 for theft of property valued at more than $500. He was indicted this week for third-degree theft.
David Williamson
David Williamson, 31, of Villas, was indicted for aggravated assault, second degree, and criminal restraint, third-degree. The indictment says he placed a female victim in fear of serious bodily harm.
Maria Rehill
Maria Rehill, 46, of Erma, was indicted for shoplifting, third degree. Rehill allegedly took over $500 of merchandise from a supermarket in Rio Grande.
Ismael Rodriguez
Ismael Rodriguez, 52, of Wildwood, was indicted for aggravated assault on a female in Middle Township. The count was in the third degree.
Brian Kurtz
Brian Kurtz, 42, of Cold Spring, was indicted for a second-degree certain person offense. Kurtz was convicted in 1996 of aggravated assault. He was allegedly in possession of a firearm in October 2016. The fact that a gun was involved led to the second-degree nature of the count.
Gregory Lawrence
Gregory Lawrence, 31, of Edgewood, was indicted for operating a motor vehicle on second suspension, fourth degree. According to police records, Lawrence’s license was suspended for a DWI charge.
The above individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
