Indictments Filed March 10

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 11 indictments March 10. 
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
 Benjamin R. Cain, of Middle Township, was indicted, in August 2019, for providing false information to a law enforcement officer, a third-degree offense. In February 2020, Cain failed to show for a hearing on the earlier indictment. He faces an additional indictment for bail jumping in the third degree.
Miguel A. Claudio, 33, of Wildwood, was indicted for defrauding the administration of a drug test, third degree, and possession of a device to defraud such test, fourth degree.
Timothy P. Donnelly, 31, of Villas, faces a second-degree count for endangering the welfare of a child, a 4-year-old.  
Liam R. Gallagher, of Cape May, was indicted for fourth-degree aggravated assault after causing bodily injury to another while driving under the influence.
Ming L. Cuevas, Manuel R. Fernandez, Breanna N. Gara, and Joseph M. Kenish were each individually and separately indicted for possession of a CDS, third degree. Cuevas faces two counts of possession because of the presence of two controlled substances.
Nasean T. Murray, of Woodbine, was indicted on one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Jaquai H. Smith faces a third-degree count for attempted theft by deception. According to the indictment, Smith presented a check drawn on the account of the City of North Wildwood as negotiable when he knew it was not good and negotiable. The check was for $10,530 and was made out to Smith.
John R. Kalin, 28, of Wildwood, was indicted for violation of a public health and safety law, third degree. Kalin was the handler of a dog who bit an 11-year-old in the face causing serious injury. The indictment states that Kalin “recklessly caused severe injury.” It further states that Kalin fled the area before officials arrived.
