Higbee Back on State Police Payroll

WEST TRENTON– State Trooper Robert Higbee, is back on the state police payroll according to published reports in the Press of Atlantic City. Higbee’s status with the state police was changed on June 15, from suspended without pay to suspended with pay. Higbee had been suspended without pay since Feb. 27, 2007, the day he was indicted on vehicular homicide charges.
A decision has yet to be made on whether Higbee will receive back pay. His current salary is $67,169, according to the report.
Higbee would need to recertify in a variety of areas, such as the use of weapons, before he can return to work, according to state police officials.
