This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
WILDWOOD CREST – Patrol Officer Samantha Gericke responded to a motel on the 6800 block Atlantic Avenue on a report of a domestic disturbance May 28 at 8:30 p.m.
Upon arriving, Gericke found Ernesto Almodovar, 22, of Philadelphia, arguing with another person.
The investigation led to the arrest of Almodovar for alleged simple assault causing injury to the victim. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Almodovar was charged with simple assault and remanded to the Cape May County Correctional Center due to the recent bail reform procedure involving domestic violence.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
