WILDWOOD CREST – Patrol Officer Lorenzo Plaza conducted a motor vehicle stop at Lavender and Atlantic avenues May 27 at 2 a.m.
While conducting the stop, Plaza detected an odor of suspected raw marijuana. Further investigation led to the arrest of a 17-year-old juvenile from Bayonne, N.J., along with Nyesia Santana, 18, also of Bayonne, N.J., and Alexa Lopez, 19, of Jersey City, N.J.
All three subjects were arrested and charged with possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substance), possession of CDS with the intent to distribute and possession of alcoholic beverages by a minor (under 21).
Santana (the driver) was additionally charged with numerous motor vehicle violations. During the investigation, it was also confirmed that Lopez had a previous warrant from West New York, N.J.
All three were processed and released on their own recognizance.
