WILDWOOD CREST – Wildwood Crest Police Officer Tyler Lavender conducted a motor vehicle stop March 4 at 12:24 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue.
According to a release, during his investigation, it was revealed that the driver, Chris Luna-Juarez, had suspected marijuana and paraphernalia. Luna-Juarez was also found to have a large machete. The passenger, Rodrigo Morales, provided false identifying information to officers and was found to possess suspected marijuana.
Both were placed under arrest.
Luna-Juarez was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon (machete); possession of CDS, (marijuana); possession of paraphernalia, and multiple motor vehicle violations.
Morales was charged with possession of CDS (marijuana) and hindering apprehension (false information to law enforcement).
Both were released on a summons with pending court dates.
