Crest Police Arrest 2 in Alleged Jewelry Theft

The following is based on information received from a law enforcement agency. The person(s) named is innocent until proven otherwise in court.
WILDWOOD CREST – Two persons were arrested and charged with theft and another count after an Oct. 10 report that $45,100 in jewelry was stolen from a residence.
According to a Wildwood Crest Police Department release:
On Oct. 10, a resident from Charleston Avenue in Wildwood Crest reported that sometime during September, numerous pieces of jewelry with an estimated value of $45,100  were taken from the residence.  
During the investigation, Wildwood Crest police detectives were able to develop suspects for the theft. They determined that the jewelry had been sold at pawn shops in Cape May and Atlantic counties.  
As a result of the investigation, Megan V. Orlando, 30, of Court House was arrested Oct. 11, and charged with theft of moveable property and conspiracy to commit theft.  She was released on a summons.  
Douglas J Baumstark, 42, of Wildwood Crest was arrested Oct. 12 and was also charged with theft of moveable property and conspiracy to commit theft.  He was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Officers involved in the case were Detective Sgt. Jon Weigand, Detective  Lorenzo Plaza, and Police Officer Cole Sawyer.
