Corzine Reappoints Gorman as Administrative Law Judge

By Joe Hart

TRENTON — Gov. Jon S. Corzine May 21 submitted judicial nominations to the State Senate, including one for a Cape May County resident.
Corzine nominated Bruce Gorman, of Petersburg, for reappointment as an Administrative Law Judge. The nominations are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
New Jersey established the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) in 1979 to act as an independent arbiter of certain disputes arising from agency actions, as well as an independent arbiter of agency compliance with rulemaking procedures.
As an administrative law judge, Gorman works in Atlantic City presiding these types of actions.
Gorman was originally named by Gov. James McGreevey in 2003 and confirmed by the state Senate in early 2004.
Gorman has served as solicitor in Middle Township, for Rio Grande and Green Creek fire districts, the Wildwood and Lower Cape May Regional boards of education.
