Cape May Police Make Arrest in Machete Incident

WEST CAPE MAY – Cape May police have charged Abel Barrios-Jimenez, 24, of West Cape May, with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes following a domestic violence incident May 26.
He was arrested after he allegedly wielded a machete during a domestic violence incident, chasing three victims. Barrios-Jimenez was lodged in county jail after failing to post $25,000 bail.
Officer K. Grossman conducted the investigation and arrest. The weapon was recovered and the victims were not injured, according to police.
