Burleigh Man Charged with Marijuana, Cocaine Distribution

BURLEIGH – Middle Township Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant in the first block Chestnut Avenue in Burleigh July 28 at approximately 7 a.m. with the assistance of the Cape May County SWAT Team and Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office. As a result of the search warrant over a quarter pound of marijuana, an ounce of crack cocaine, and $1,632 were recovered. The resident of the house, Michael Gibbs, 36, was arrested. 
Gibbs was charged with possession of marijuana over 50 grams, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute over one ounce, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute over .5 ounce and possession with the intent to distribute controlled dangerous substance within 500′ of a public place (bike path).
Gibbs was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center on $140,000 cash bail.
