WILDWOOD — A 20-year-old Wildwood man was arrested after two reported burglaries and a robbery at local eateries between midnight and 4 a.m. on Oct. 24.
Emmanuel Vega, who told police he worked as a prep cook at Beach Creek, allegedly broke into Mr. D’s and Bonelli’s Market by shattering the glass doors and windows. Police said that nothing was taken from either establishment. After both burglaries Vega was arrested in the early morning of Oct. 24 after he allegedly threatened the counter person at Romeo’s Pizza by claiming he had a gun, located on Pacific Avenue, and then fled with the tip jar.
Vega was reportedly stopped and held down by Romeo’s employees until police arrived on scene. Police said that no weapon was found on Vega, but his pockets were filled with glass from the previous burglaries. Vega was lodged in the county jail on 100,000 bail.
