Anglesea Sexual Assault under Investigation

The following is based on information received from a law enforcement agency.
COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland along with Chief Matthew Gallagher of the North Wildwood Police Department announce a joint investigation is being conducted of a reported sexual assault which occurred May 21 in the area of the 500 block of Anglesea Drive, North Wildwood.
According to a release, on May 21, 2019, at approximately 6:27 p.m., the North Wildwood Police Department received a report of a sexual assault.  
The victim reported while walking in the area of the 500 block of Anglesea Drive, an unknown male approached and sexually assaulted the victim.  
The unknown suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’10”, in his 50s with short brown hair and clean shaven.   
He was described as wearing a light gray crew sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and black sneakers. Sutherland urged anyone who may have information regarding this investigation or if they reside in the vicinity of the incident location and have a video surveillance system to contact the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit at 609-465-1135 or the North Wildwood Police Department Detective Division at 609-522-2411.
