VILLAS — Lower Township police arrested Diaundra Flangan, 27, of the 100 block Oak Avenue on Aug. 6 and charged her with aggravated assault in the wake of an early-morning incident in the parking lot of Jake’s Bar and Grill.
According to police, about 1:30 a.m., they were contacted by an employee of Jake’s Bar and Grill of a stabbing victim who was in their parking lot area.
The victim, Fred Schartner of this community told police he was stabbed in the neck after having a verbal argument with a female, after she allegedly cracked a bottle on the ground and stabbed him with the broken bottle.
Police reported the argument appeared to have begun in the bar, and it escalated when the pair was in the parking lot.
Schartner was treated by Lower Township Rescue Squad personnel and transported to Cape Regional Medical Center, where he was released after receiving medical attention for the large laceration to his neck.
Flanagan was arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing. She was charged, and Municipal Court Judge David DeWeese set her bail at $50,000. She was remanded to county jail in lieu of bail.
Investigating officers were Patrolman Douglass Whitten and Detective Chris Lambert.
