The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) will recognize the Cape May County Department of Tourism with a Gold Adrian Award for public relations excellence for its winning entry in the 52nd annual Adrian Awards Competition—the largest and most prestigious travel marketing competition globally.
The Cape May County Department of Tourism, under the direction of Director of Tourism, Diane Wieland, working with Graphic Designer Michael Lacy of Sassafras Design in Somers Point, developed an iPod press kit that marries the innovation and capabilities of technology with the need for public relations practitioners.
The 1GB iPod Nano press kit has been distributed to French and English-speaking journalists containing the official press kit of Cape May County in a French or English version, a copy of the department’s official destination guide, Southern New Jersey Vacationer, and 75 high resolution photographic images that are downloadable to the users’ computer.
HSMAI will pay tribute to the Cape May County Department of Tourism during the 19th annual HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala, a black-tie affair attended by more than 1,000 hospitality, travel, and tourism marketing executives, on Jan. 26, at the New York Marriott Marquis.
In addition to celebrating the Department of Tourism’s award-winning work, the Gala honors lifetime achievement and the “Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing.”
All winning entries will be accessible in the Adrian Awards Winners Gallery online following the gala at adrianawards.com.
