COURT HOUSE – The number of confirmed cases in New Jersey has risen by eight, as of March 11, bringing the state’s total to 23, with one death. The new cases included two individuals in Burlington County, the first cases located there.
Gov. Phil Murphy said March 11 that 20 of the 23 individuals who have tested positive for the virus are hospitalized.
The Attorney General’s Office and the Division of Consumer Affairs report over 90 complaints of price gouging.  In a release, Attorney General Gurbir Grewal told retailers they will be held accountable for violating state law against “gross and unreasonable inflation of the price of any product in response to concerns about a public health event.”
Grewal said that 10 warning letters had been sent to a combination of internet and brick-and-mortar retailers.
