Car seats donated to Cape Regional Medical Center

By On Deck Staff

For the 15th year, in honor of February being Child Passenger Safety Month, Xi Beta Pi, a Cape May County chapter of the international women’s organization, Beta Sigma Phi, donated three infant car seats to Cape Regional Medical Center’s Pediatrics Department.
New mothers sometimes arrive at the hospital to deliver their baby and forget to bring their infant car seat which is necessary for the baby’s trip home, or they simply can’t afford to purchase one. The hospital will loan the new mother a car seat but unfortunately they are not always returned.
In addition to the car seats, Xi Beta Pi, throughout the year has donated money and items for local Cape May County charities, and local families in need of assistance.
Beta Sigma Phi, founded in 1931 in Abilene, Kansas, is the world’s largest women’s organization of its kind with 180,000 members in 20 countries around the world.
These members belong to thousands of Beta Sigma Phi chapters that are dedicated to social and cultural enrichment and service in their communities.
