RIO GRANDE – A new big-box store is coming to the shopping center anchored by ShopRite, filling a large vacant storefront once occupied by Peebles and briefly Gordmans.
Burlington, a publicly traded clothing retailer, will occupy the space in the middle of the shopping center at 1500 Route 47, the company confirmed to the Herald.
A spokesperson for the company said they are projecting to open sometime in spring 2023.
Currently, the closest Burlington store is in Mays Landing, in Atlantic County. The company was founded in New Jersey as Burlington Coat Factory in 1972 and did more than $9 billion in revenue in 2021.
