August displays at Lower Township Library

You’re invited to view artwork, Transformers and Barbie Dolls during August at the Lower Township Public Library, 2600 Bayshore Road, Villas.
Frances Castor and her students– Coleen Hillock, Marcy Mason and Carole Neenhold of Huntingdon Valley, Pa.– exhibit oils and watercolor paintings. Castor attended Moore College of Art, studying under the late Ranulph Bye, and in the early 80s painted with watercolorist Howard Watson at Alverthorpe Art Center. The exhibit includes portraitures, scenes, wildlife and floral paintings.
Nick Morency of Lower Township presents “Transformers: Rarities and Curiosities,” focusing on truly unique and interesting Transformer toys. Included are limited edition Transformers, autographed items, unique prototypes and other items from the popular robot line. Some of the featured figures were never available to the public.
Enza Morency of Lower Township displays Barbie dolls from the 1980s to the present. The exhibit includes mainstream dolls for girls and collectible dolls for adults. Represented is a sample of the diversity of modern-era Barbie dolls, from the Japanese “Ma-Bee” Barbie to limited-production pieces.

Books, magazines, and various other items will be for sale at the Main Branch of the Cape May County Library, 30 Mechanic Street, Court House on the following dates.
On Wednesday, Aug. 27, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., hardback books will be 25 cents and paperback books, 10 cents.
On Thursday, Aug. 28, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., all items will be half-price.
On Friday, Aug. 29, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Fill a bag for $1.
