Free art programs will begin at four area libraries beginning September 24. The Center for Community Arts and Cape May County Libraries welcome children ages 6 – 10 to listen to a story and create an art project. This fall’s schedule will explore popular children’s author/artists such as Eric Carle, (The Very Hungry Caterpillar), Denise Fleming (In the Tall, Tall Grass), and Leo Lionni (Frederick). Combining the mixed media of pencils, watercolors, pastels and “pulp painting,” children will create art work resembling the collage paintings and assemblages created by these authors/artists.
