Stars from the locally-made movie, “Greeting From The Shore,” will be at the Towne Stadium 16 in Egg Harbor on Sunday afternoon signing autographs for people seeing the film.
“The film has been doing great, and we’ve been asked back for a third week in theatres across the state,” said Greg Chwerchak, the film’s director.
“It’s pretty amazing for a little indie film to make it to multiplexes, much less hold its own with multi-million dollar studio films and their advertising blitzes,” he added. “We’ve even been number one at the AMC in Toms River for two straight weeks! Crazy.”
Chwerchak credits local support from papers like the Herald for helping to get the word out.
“I’ve had tons of people tell me they read the recent Herald article, and we’re very grateful for the support. I’d love to let readers know that (stars) Paul Sorvino and Kim Shaw will be at Frank Theatres Towne Stadium 16, in Egg Harbor from 4-7 p.m., Sept. 28.”
The actors will greet audiences, and viewers with a ticket to a Sept. 26, 27, or 28 showing of “Greetings From The Shore” can receive a complimentary movie poster signed by the film’s stars.
