UPDATE: Wildwood Crest Officer in Fair Condition After Crash

WILDWOOD CREST— Officer Matthew Barnett was injured after he was broadsided in his patrol vehicle as he crossed the intersection of Rosemary Road and Seaview Avenue, rolling over and coming to rest at the next intersection of Seaview Ave and Forget-Me-Not Road a block south on Saturday, Oct 3 at around 12:00 p.m.

The Wildwood Crest Fire Department was dispatched to the scene for reported entrapment with Medic 9.
Barnett was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center where he is listed in fair condition, according to police.
Police have not identified the driver in the vehicle that hit Barnett
The accident is being investigated by the Wildwood Crest Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
