The following is based on information received from a law enforcement agency.
OCEAN CITY – One pedestrian, a 47-year-old male from Lansdale, Pa., has died as a result of a May 24 crash at Eighth Street and Bay Avenue.
According to a May 27 release from Ocean City Police Department, the second pedestrian, a 40-year-old female was treated for her injuries and released from the hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, a 48-year-old female from Woodbine, has not been charged at this time.
The investigation was ongoing and continues to be investigated by the Ocean City Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit and the Ocean City Police Department’s Detective Bureau with assistance from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office’s Fatal Accident Investigation Unit.

OCEAN CITY – Ocean City Police and Fire Department personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident May 24 at about 5:33 p.m. at Eighth Street and Bay Avenue.
According to a release, preliminary investigation on scene determined that a vehicle traveling west on Eighth Street made a left turn to travel south on Bay Avenue when the vehicle struck two pedestrians crossing the street.
Both pedestrians were transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Atlantic City Campus.
One victim, a 47-year-old male, was transported by helicopter. The second victim, a 40-year-old female, was transported via ambulance.
The driver of the vehicle, a 48-year-old female, remained on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
The accident is being investigated by the Ocean City Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit and the Ocean City Police Department’s Detective Bureau with assistance from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office’s Fatal Accident Investigation Unit.
