UPDATE: Ocean City Police Identify July 4th Drowning Victim

OCEAN CITY- A man drowned on the 8th Street beach Sunday evening, according to Ocean City police.
The fire department was dispatched for a water rescue at 10:03 p.m. After conducting a search the victim was located on 7th street.
The victim identified as Anton Zhmachynski, 22, was transported to Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point where the the victim was pronounced dead.
Zhmachynski, was from the Republic of Belarus.
The drowning is under investigation, police said.
