UPDATE: Man Injured While ‘Car Surfing’ in North Cape May

LOWER TOWNSHIP– Lower Township Rescue Squad was called to the scene on Indian Ave in the North Cape May section of the township where a 37 year-old-male was rendered unconscious after falling from a moving car just before 2 AM on Thursday.
Police have identified the man as George Koeck, 37 of the Villas section of the township. According to police Koeck was arguing with his girlfriend Alicia Cacci, 36, of Atlanta, Ga. Upon Cacci attempting to depart in her vehicle, Koeck jumped on the hood in an attempt to prevent her from leaving. Koeck then jumped off the hood while the vehicle was moving and fell to the ground hitting his head.
Koeck was airlifted to the trauma unit at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City by South Star medevac.
The flight crew reported Koeck fell while “car surfing” and sustained a head injury. His condition was stable en-route to the trauma center.
No charges were issued at the time of the accident, police said.
