UPDATE: Cardiac Emergency Reported at Sea Grove Campground

OCEAN VIEW– Belleplain Emergency Corps was dispatched to the Sea Grove Campground lot 46 at 10:47 a.m. for a reported drowning. Minutes later Medic 9 was dispatched for a water rescue. When EMS units arrived on scene they reported CPR in progress.
State Police arrived on scene and reported that a 69 year-old male had suffered a cardiac arrest at 11:12. The cardiac arrest was not a result of a drowning as previously reported by Belleplain Emergency Corps dispatch, according to state police.
The victim was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center by Belleplain Emergency Corps and Medic 9.
