OCEAN CITY — Ocean City Police confirmed today the Bridge Tender at the Rt 52 Bridge thought he observed an object in the water near the bridge that could possibly resemble a body around 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 27.
According to police, knowing that there were several missing fishermen and a missing person from OC they activated the Coast Guard, Marine Police and local Police and Fire Services to check the back bay area in the vicinity of the sighting.
After several hours of checking the search was stopped with nothing discovered, police said.
