Two Injured, One Airlifted in Townsends Inlet Crash

TOWNSENDS INLET — Avalon Police are investigating a head-on collision that took place on the Townsend’s Inlet bridge on Friday, Sept 18 at around 12:40 p.m.
The Avalon Fire Department was detailed to the scene for entrapment, according to reports.
South Star airlifted a 52 year-old female to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City in stable condition. The Avalon Ambulance Corps transported one patient to also to ARMC with Atlanticare Paramedics.
The bridge was closed to traffic for over one hour as crews worked to clear the wreckage.
