SUV Crashes Into Karate Studio

By Lauren Suit

RIO GRANDE — A Court House man drove his vehicle into the front windows of South Coast Shore Kick Karate studio at the Rio Grande Plaza around 2:10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4.
The driver, Samuel Boorse Jr., told responders he was uninjured and reportedly remarked to police that he “couldn’t find the brake,” according to Middle Township Patrolman Jason Sweitzer.
Boorse’s Chrysler Pacifica went about one and a half feet into the karate studio, which was unoccupied at the time. The crash brought shoppers to the scene that tried to assist the driver and helped direct traffic around the accident.
Middle Township Police, Rio Grande Rescue Squad and Rio Grande Fire Department responded to the scene.
