By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — Middle Township police responded to a motor vehicle accident call Nov. 20 at 3:08 p.m. near Elementary No. 2, 101 Pacific Ave.
Responding officers found a Nissan Quest minivan, driven by Bozena Boczek, 39, of Court House, impaled on a metal gate.
Boczek had been driving through the parking lot to pick up a child when she drove into the large metal gate, used to close off the parking lot to protect children.
The 10-foot gate pierced the windshield and exited through the driver’s side window, stopping the vehicle.
Boczek was uninjured, and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
The Court House Fire Department responded to cut the metal gate.
Middle Township Rescue responded.
Boczek, in addition to the DWI charge, was charged with failure to stop.
Sgt. Pat Conte and Patrolman Steve Novsak investigated the accident.
