Pregnant Woman Airlifted from Crash Scene

ERMA — Jordan Holland, 20, of the 1400 block Burleigh Road, Green Creek, who is eight months pregnant, was airlifted from the scene of a Sept. 2 motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Shunpike and Fishing Creek roads, about 2:50 p.m.
According to Lower Township police, Jordan was operating a 2007 Ford Focus northbound on Shunpike Road near that intersection.
Holland entered the intersection of Shunpike and Fishing Creek roads, and struck a 2004 Jeep Liberty operated by Kelly Doran, 40, of Spencerport, N.J. Doran had been proceeding eastbound on Fishing Creek Road.
When officers arrived, the summoned Erma and Villas firefighters to extricate Holland from her vehicle using the Jaws of Life hydraulic tools.
Lower Township Rescue Squad then transported her to the Cape May County Airport where she was airlifted via South Star helicopter to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition.
Patrolman Robert Hartman and Detective Edward Dougherty are investigating the crash.
