Police Investigate Cold Spring Crash

COLD SPRING– At 10:10 p.m., on Sunday, March 29. Lower Township Police, Lower Township Rescue Squad and Medic 9, responded to the area of Route 109 and Route 9 for a motor vehicle accident.
Reports indicate this many have been a hit and run crash. A County Sheriff K-9 unit was requested to the scene to search the near by woods.
One victim was air lifted to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center’s trauma unit in Atlantic City by South Star medevac.
The flight crew reported the victim to be a 50 year-old male with no obvious external injury that appeared to be “sleepy at times”.
Police reported a unit en route to the trauma center with a DUI blood sample kit.
The crash is under investigation by Lower Township Police.
