Parkway Car Crash Claims Man’s Life

CLERMONT – A North Cape May man died in a one-car motor vehicle crash Oct. 16 on the Garden State Parkway southbound at milepost 16.3. 
Troopers from New Jersey State Police Galloway Station responded to the scene at 8:51 p.m.
State Police Trooper Lawrence Peele said Joseph Roberts, 42, was traveling southbound in the right lane when his vehicle, a 2005 Chevy Silverado pickup, left the roadway off the right side and went into several trees. Roberts, the only occupant in the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The right lane was closed for three hours during the on-scene investigation.
The crash remains under investigation.
