PA Man With 7 Prior DUI Aresst Gets 30 Years For Lower DUI Fatal Crash

COURT HOUSE– John J. Lawless of Philadelphia pleaded guilty Mon. Sept 12, to first-degree aggravated manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol in the death of 50 year-old Lower Township resident Frederick H. Shelton.
Shelton’s wife, Sheri, and daughter, Brittany, both passengers in his the car that day, were seriously injured and both airlifted to area trauma centers.
Lawless was sentenced to 30 years in prison today.
