By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – Sat., March 24, 2012 at 8:44 p.m., Ptl. Lindholm of Middle Twp. Police called in an accident at the intersection of Route 9 and Dennisville Road and stated that he was involved. Lower Twp. Rescue was leaving Cape Regional Medical Center and stopped at the accident.
Officers responded and found both drivers out of their vehicles. The investigation revealed that Ptl. Lindholm was traveling south on Route 9 in a marked police car and was struck by Raymond Howell, 75, of CMCH as he entered the intersection. Mr. Howell was traveling north on Route 9 and attempted to turn left onto Dennisville Road when he struck Ptl. Lindholm’s police car.
Ptl. Lindholm was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center with head, neck and arm injuries, which were non-life threatening. Mr. Howell was not injured. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
The crash was caught on video from a private business in the area and showed that Route 9 traffic had green lights.
Mr. Howell was issued a summons.
