OC’s Ninth Street Beach Closed After Boating Accident

A sailboat washed up on the beaches of Avalon April 14

OCEAN CITY – A boater ran aground at the Ninth Street beach around 4 a.m. Sept. 5.
The man, who was alone on the boat, was uninjured, according to a press release from Ocean City. The boat suffered damage to the rudder after striking the rock jetty off Ninth Street Beach.
Ninth Street beach was closed to the public the morning of Labor Day and will continue to be until the sailboat is towed.
