COURT HOUSE – New Jersey State Police (NJSP) confirmed a fatal accident that occurred Feb. 25 on the Garden State Parkway near Exit 13.
According to Sgt. Philip Curry, of NJSP, troopers responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash at around 4:19 p.m. on the southbound lane of the Garden State Parkway at milepost 12.4 in Court House.
Curry said Olen Jayme, 74, of Neptune, was driving southbound on the Garden State Parkway in his Volvo, when his vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck two trees near Exit 13.
Police could only report that Jayme died as a result of his injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
