Motorcyclist Airlifted After Single Vehicle Crash

NORTH CAPE MAY – Police responded to Town Bank Road and Gorham Avenue on the afternoon of Sept. 18, for the report of an accident involving a motorcycle.
A preliminary investigation revealed the motorcyclist was the only vehicle involved in the accident, according to a release from the Lower Township Police Department. 
The operator was only identified by authorities as a male in his twenties. 
A helicopter transported him to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. 
A portion of Town Bank Road was closed for two hours while the accident was investigated.
Police said they were assisted by Town Bank Fire Department, Inspira Health EMS, AtlantiCare Paramedics, and Erma Fire Department.
