Motorcycle Accident Claims Life

GREENFIELD – N.J. State Police from Woodbine Station were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash June 5 at 3:23 p.m. on State Highway Rte. 50 at milepost 0.8. The accident involved two motor vehicles and a motorcycle.
A black 2007 Audi A3 was stopped in the southbound lane on Rte. 50 attempting to make a left hand turn onto Katherine Ave. A black 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on Rte. 50 and collided with the rear of the Audi. The driver of the Harley Davidson was ejected from the motorcycle and landed in the northbound lane of travel.
A white 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was traveling northbound on Rte. 50 and struck the driver of the motorcycle who was lying in the northbound lane. The motorcycle driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Audi refused medical treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet pickup truck refused medical treatment. The identity of the deceased driver was not released pending the notification of the next of kin.
Responding units included the Seaville Volunteer Fire Department, Upper Township EMS, the N.J. State Police Crime Scene Investigation and N.J. State Police Fatal Accident Investigation.
At this point, no criminal charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.
