Infant Airlifted to Trauma Center After Fall

ELDORA– A 6 month-old boy was airlifted to Cooper University Trauma Center in Camden following a fall, on Saturday, April 4, just before 6:00 p.m.
According to reports the father was carrying the infant when he was dropped, the infant fell to the floor striking the back of his head.
A Belleplain Emergency Corps ambulance and Troopers meet with the parents, on Route 47 and Washington Avenue as they were en route to Cape Regional.
Belleplain then requested South Star to the scene to transport. Atlanticare paramedics also responded.
The Belleplain Fire Department established a landing zone at an adjacent field to the intersection.
South Star reported the infant to be in stable condition, responsive and responding age appropriate. The childs mother was also reported to be onboard the helicopter.
The incident is under investigation by Troopers at the Woodbine station.
