Higbee Fined for Violations in Fatal Crash

COURT HOUSE— State Trooper Robert Higbee who was acquitted of vehicular homicide charges in a crash that killed two sisters has been fined for traffic violations stemming from the accident, according to the Associated Press.
Robert Higbee pleaded guilty Friday, June 12 to failing to stop at a stop sign and careless driving. A judge imposed fines and court costs of $678. The trooper could have received up to 30 days in jail on the traffic violations.
Jacqueline and Christina Becker died after Higbee crashed into their minivan while he was chasing a speeder in Upper Township in 2006.
