Fiery Crash Hurts 3

ELDORA – First responders were dispatched to a two-car motor vehicle crash with fire and possible entrapment on Route 347 in Eldora at 4:10 p.m. June 18.  
Firefighters arrived to find both vehicles on fire, with all occupants out of the vehicles, according to a post on Dennis Volunteer Fire Company’s Facebook page.  
State Police told NJ.com that a Ford Escort was heading north when it collided head-on with a Chevrolet Cobalt. 
The couple in the Escort were taken to the hospital. The male driver was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, accompanied by an uninjured infant who was also in the vehicle. The woman passenger was taken by State Police helicopter to Atlantic City Medical Center for treatment of injuries that were not life threatening.
The Cobalt’s male driver, the only occupant, was taken by ambulance to Inspira Medical Center in Vineland.
Route 347 was shut down for two hours following the crash.
Firemen from Dennis Township, Belleplain, Leesburg, and Heislerville responded, along with Belleplain Emergency Corps, New Jersey State Police, AtlantiCare paramedics, Inspira Medical Center Vineland paramedics and Cumberland County Fire Police.
At this time, no charges have been issued. The crash remains under investigation.
