COURT HOUSE – Delaware resident Jayson Maykut pleaded guilty Friday to vehicular homicide, admitting that he drank eight to 10 mixed alcoholic drinks in the few hours before he lost control of his car on a Sea Isle City street on May 15, 2008, the Press of Atantic City reports.
The car crashed into a utility pole and Maykut’s passenger, Megan A. Perry, 25, of Wilmington, Del., was killed.
The two had attended a wedding rehearsal dinner in Strathmere earlier in the evening.
Maykut will receive a four-year prison term in exchange for his plea.
