CAPE MAY – The Coast Guard rescued three people Sunday after the 32-foot boat they were aboard capsized two miles south of Cape May near Cape May Point.
The Coast Guard received a call at 9:02 a.m. from a crewmember aboard the Lady Jane reporting they were taking on water at a fast rate and needed assistance.
A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Cape May arrived on scene and discovered the Lady Jane had capsized and all three crewmembers were sitting on the partially submerged hull.
The boat crew rescued all three people and transported them to Station Cape May.
Members of Sea Tow are salvaging the Lady Jane.
